World of Warcraft: Shadowlands, the latest expansion to the MMORPG, is set in the realm of the dead. Who are the Venthyr?

The Venthyr are a grouping of noble vampires tasked with tending to proud souls in demand of reform. Souls that absolve can move on to another realm or choose to stick effectually and get Venthyr themselves. The ones beyond salvation are condemned to eternal torment in The Maw.

The zone of Revendreth is divided into 7 districts, each ruled by a powerful and aboriginal Venthyr.
